Burlington Transit sets dates for public meetings, survey, pop-up events to help shape transit’s future

An upcoming series of public meetings, virtual town halls and informal events will help shape the contents of Burlington Transit’s new Strategic Plan, which will set Burlington’s transit goals for the next five years.

Public information sessions will be held on Tuesday Oct. 28 and Wednesday Oct. 29, with pop-up events staffed by Transit staff on the 29th in two locations. A virtual public information session via Zoom is scheduled for Nov. 6. (See below for further details.)

A survey for riders and non-riders alike is now open and is available until Friday Nov.7.

The Plan will consider new initiatives as well as improvements to existing services, such as bus routes and schedules. It will promote city infrastructure that supports transit. And it will suggest ways to pay for the transit service Burlington will increasingly need.

This outreach plan gives everyone in Burlington the chance to help shape the future of transit in our city. If you can’t attend in person, you can still be heard by filling out the survey or attending the virtual information session.
