Survey seeks views on free transit

Transit advocates can show their support for free transit in Burlington in a city-sponsored online survey at https://www.getinvolvedburlington.ca/embeds/projects/44752/survey-tools/49177. (The link will open in a new window or tab.)

The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and gives participants the opportunity to leave further comments.

The effort is part of a study on making transit in Burlington free for everyone, after City Council approved a motion last summer to make transit free for seniors and, during certain hours, youth and students.

Since the announcement of the study last August, consultants have been hired and are now at work examining costs and operational issues.

“We encourage everyone to take the survey, whether they use transit or not,” said BFAST Chair Doug Brown. “Transit supporters can use this chance to once again send a message about how important good transit is to our community.”
